Medical Multimedia Systems for Operating Rooms

AV Magic provided consulting and planning services for the multimedia systems that were installed in the operating rooms of Assuta Hospital in Ashdod. The system allows surgeons to view the endoscopic camera images at high resolution, to transmit live streams of surgeries, for academic purposes and in order to consult with colleagues.

The system also includes advanced medical recording systems and an interface with patients’ medical files. The solution that has been implemented in the hospital is a distributed system, designed to support UHD resolution with minimal compression, which is transmitted over IP networks by means of optical fibers. This is the first time this type of system was implemented in Israel, and one of the first in the world.
