Herodium National Park

Herodium National Park takes visitors through the magnificent palace built by Herod, who later ordered it to be completely demolished and rebuilt as a huge monument in his memory. Over the past 14 years, extensive conservation and restoration work has been carried out in the site. Some parts, which were closed off to the public until now, have been recently made accessible. Among them are archeological finds of extraordinary beauty, including royal rooms, a unique theater, the monumental staircase, the archway, and more.

As part of the restoration work on the site, AV Magic, commissioned by Nitzan Rafaeli Studio, designed and installed a multi-channel projection and sound system in the three palace rooms, and helped restore some of the architectural elements in the room by means of video mapping.

Client: Nitzan Refaeli Studio (for the Nature and Parks Authority)
